Wufoo is awesome

I found Wufoo.com a couple of years ago while looking for good, cheap form design and hosting and thought it was great. But it’s gotten way better.

Wufoo.com is one of those wonders of the web hosted application universe. It looks great. It works better. Everything about it makes you want to love Wufoo.

Let’s start with the form design interface. Very easy to create and edit forms with drag and drop elegance. Click the form element you want, then select it and customize the fields as you wish. Dreamy.

The form is well suited to registration types of uses, but also features basic question elements used in general questionnaire. There are even payment elements.

So once you have your form created, you will need to post it on your site and here Wufoo offers code snippets for all the options: link URL, pop-up link to URL, embedded iframe, embedded object code, email, etc. I used the iframe embedding option and I loved the way the form displayed with no distracting ads or Wufoo logo so it looks almost native to your environment.

Submitting worked like a charm. I received a thank you screen which can be customized and got an email notification as the administrator. The notification email is nicely formatted so you can see some of the details of who registered for your event.

All the submissions of Wufoo forms go into a database. You can access those submissions online and use Wufoo to manage the responses or export the data and manage it somewhere else.

Wufoo offers graduated account pricing starting with a free version that gives you 1 user, 3 forms, 3 reports, 10 fields per form and 100 submissions per month.

Wufoo truly does give you superpowers. Awesome work guys!
