Located close to the North Saskatchewan river valley, its not uncommon to see wildlife in our backyard. We’ve seen jack rabbits, a doe and now – a coyote.
Abby saw it first and started making funny noises at the back door yesterday. Luckily, we hadn’t let her out to do her business. We’re going to have to be very careful from now on.

Perhaps you heard the news a few days ago, in which a woman was walking her two Pomeranians, in a residential area in a Toronto suburb, when a coyote came out from behind a bush, grabbed one of the dogs and ran off with it – never to be seen again.

Didn’t hear about that incident, but we are being extra watchful lest our hungry friend returns when Abby is outside doing her business.
