Little Bear loves to fish with his father. He even has a stuffed bear toy called Fisherman Bear.

So when Ben asked me to take him fishing, I immediately thought of Grandpa Hal.

Armed with the Dora fishing rods and our tackle boxes, we headed to Gores Landing one hot summer morning. We went in search of the big one. And we caught one…or two. And by the stories they were telling, you’d think they were the biggest fish in Rice Lake. The evidence is below.

She is growing into such a beautiful princess.

I could look at this smiling face and never get tired of searching for the future in her eyes.

Benny turned 4 today. And we celebrated with a haircut. A buzz cut, to be exact.

Before and after. The pictures speak for themselves. I could hardly watch as the hair came off.

The only thing that changed is the hair.

But it seems like so much more than that changed in those few days.

My boy is growing up.
